The Face of Dystopia — Concept Work

Ahhh… The Sweet Smell of Brand Recall

In late 2020, when we are probably at the bottom of the proverbial trough in terms of outlook on the world, I began explore the concept of a hypothetical dystopian start up. Because, you know, cheerful times. I imagined a start up which sold ad space on the now ubiquitous face mask. After all, it was perhaps the new new media for the new abnormal. Large swathes of the working population were now consisted of ground-based staff.

KEEP YOUR BRAND EXPOSED.

Face-Space would be a start up that would give out 5G enabled face-masks to a growing number of “walkers” who would be paid by the number of hours they were exposing themselves, and advertisers branding, in public. Marketers would offered real time tracking of branded deployment, and would be given a suite of tools to update messaging on the fly, and track real time messages.
