Singaporean creative studio Kinetic was facing a dilemma: they were traditionally seen as a print-based studio, but wanted show off their digital chops without losing their crafty heritage. The solution was a website do-over which mixed of both media, resulting in an entirely hand drawn fanzine website macabre pseudo-science thingamajig.

Technologically, Kinetic V5 set the benchmark by championing an entirely fresh HTML5 approach to web design. In a world of clean UI and UX brand books, it became a cult hit among the design community who saw it as a middle finger to that trend, and went on to win big at design festivals around the world.
